Bruce Nesbitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Hori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the game, Cyrus Crouch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jeremias Orzaize was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bruce Nesbitt made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Melchor Hori sent off a good shot on target. Cyrus Crouch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jeremias Orzaize tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cyrus Crouch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Orzaize having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabricio Gervaso during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Vampiros Aztecas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Gervaso to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Cyrus Crouch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremias Orzaize was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Faustino Lando hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 41st match minute, Vampiros Aztecas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Ponce to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Vampiros Aztecas getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ruben Garin hit a great ball. After the first half Cosmos Soccer Club were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

55 minutes into the match, Vampiros Aztecas's goalkeeper Jeremias Orzaize had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcus Maher. Jeremias Orzaize showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyrus Crouch, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Bruce Nesbitt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melchor Hori's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Cyrus Crouch recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jeremias Orzaize. Cyrus Crouch showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Ruben Garin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Melchor Hori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Cosmos Soccer Club's Russ Thorne dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Fabricio Gervaso hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when Vampiros Aztecas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Rik didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Ruben Garin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeremias Orzaize made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyrus Crouch in the 89th minute of play. When the match was over Cosmos Soccer Club could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vampiros Aztecas throughout the match.
