The supporters of New England Minas booed when Kwyjibo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beremundo Armea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Distiratsu Bidania took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dwayne Clement, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st match minute, Kwyjibo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cayetano Valonga to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Kwyjibo's Urritz Arandojo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Miles Newsome. Miles Newsome yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Distiratsu Bidania made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dwayne Clement in the 40th minute of play. Cayetano Valonga's late challenge caught a New England Minas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cayetano Valonga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Cayetano Valonga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Urritz Arandojo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miles Newsome having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduardo Tarapiella stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Distiratsu Bidania took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keith Braxton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beremundo Armea during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miles Newsome was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Miles Newsome made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Tarapiella in the 82nd minute of play. Cayetano Valonga lost his temper 85 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 86th match minute, Kwyjibo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cayetano Valonga to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Dwayne Clement's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Distiratsu Bidania was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Many of New England Minas's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. New England Minas may have spent more time on the ball, but Kwyjibo were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
