If Ramos Cuyar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes Dep. Moron got a freekick which was hit by Lonnie Bowman. Penuel Football Club's Matías Almeyda couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Dep. Moron. Fe Lizaur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordon Ayala, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 18 played minutes Penuel Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Cavenaghi. 20 minutes into the game, Fernando Cavenaghi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Archie McCracken was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute Fernando Cavenaghi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Archie McCracken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Goren Alva during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fe Lizaur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Larry Doran in the 30th minute of the match. After the first half Penuel Football Club were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Penuel Football Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
