After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Favila Lesaca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garfield Dream Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Favila Lesaca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sagrario Paniagua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornelio Rigueiro charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cornelio Rigueiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Rigueiro. Vedillo Pumares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sagrario Paniagua read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Maria Tesillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Rigueiro to maneuver through the defense. Sagrario Paniagua was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Favila Lesaca. Vedillo Pumares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sagrario Paniagua having to interfere. Maria Tesillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sagrario Paniagua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maria Tesillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ponciano Bobis to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute Silverio Franquesa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sagrario Paniagua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Garfield Dream Team defense, Lapurdi Collazo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emilio Oterino. The Garfield Dream Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emilio Oterino should have stopped the shot. Marcelo Bojorquez hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Vedillo Pumares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sagrario Paniagua having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richie Soto during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Richie Soto. Sagrario Paniagua acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Favila Lesaca. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xan Revillas to strike the kick off in the second half. When Natanael Belo fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garfield Dream Team's protests and gave Natanael Belo a yellow card for diving instead. Xan Revillas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Oterino having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Richie Soto got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The attack was good, but when Xan Revillas in the 59th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Bojorquez in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emilio Oterino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 63 minutes into the match, Garfield Dream Team's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Bojorquez came free, but Emilio Oterino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emilio Oterino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xan Revillas, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vedillo Pumares in the 74th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper Sagrario Paniagua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, CD Municipal's Ponciano Bobis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Garfield Dream Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Xan Revillas scored to the left of an out of position Emilio Oterino, making the score, 0-3. Richie Soto made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Garfield Dream Team's Maria Tesillo. CD Municipal's Sagrario Paniagua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vedillo Pumares in the 89th minute of play. Emilio Oterino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xan Revillas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vedillo Pumares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sagrario Paniagua having to interfere.
