CD Municipal's Sauveur Valenzuela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Isias in the 10th minute of play. Timoteo Pero kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Timoteo Pero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mambru Entrala fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Municipal's protests and gave Mambru Entrala a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Mambru Entrala hit a great ball. CD Municipal's Sauveur Valenzuela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Gauargi in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of ORIZABA F.C. booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santxo Saboya didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, CD Municipal's Leonardo Ferran got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Sauveur Valenzuela successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sauveur Valenzuela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Damario in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Geraldo Ayaso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ambrosio Isias got free with Sauveur Valenzuela in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CD Municipal's Sauveur Valenzuela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Gauargi in the 73rd minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the ORIZABA F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
