Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Flor Orallo made the kick off and thus started the match. With a little luck, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Miguel Celama got control of the ball when Geraldo Ayaso tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute, Mambru Entrala left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Miguel Celama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafo Besosa in the 16th minute of play. Miguel Celama made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Santxo Saboya sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Burutzagi Romero hit a great ball. Sauveur Valenzuela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oswaldo Titos's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Valiente Tebar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sauveur Valenzuela having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Flor Orallo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Guayaquil FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 46 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Flor Orallo came free, but Sauveur Valenzuela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valiente Tebar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Juan-Alfredo Guceño was substituted for Valiente Tebar. After the first half Inter de Guayaquil FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 55 minutes of play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Juan-Alfredo Guceño made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sauveur Valenzuela was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Inter de Guayaquil FC's Flor Orallo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sauveur Valenzuela. That made the score 1-4 after 66 minutes of play. Miguel Celama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mambru Entrala in the 71st minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Juan-Alfredo Guceño had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sauveur Valenzuela. CD Municipal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan-Alfredo Guceño was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. When Juan-Alfredo Guceño fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inter de Guayaquil FC's protests and gave Juan-Alfredo Guceño a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Juan-Alfredo Guceño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan-Alfredo Guceño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Flor Orallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Inter de Guayaquil FC's zone, Serafo Besosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Celama came out of the goal and Serafo Besosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CD Municipal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Flor Orallo 98 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-6. The CD Municipal fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Inter de Guayaquil FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
