Bertrán Jarabran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Vicente Basay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uriel Villamil in the 6th minute of the match. Christian Abbott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Gana, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Uriel Villamil charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Uriel Villamil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, ☠QUINTERO☠'s Uriel Villamil got a free kick in the 14th minute. When Próspero Ruiz Tagle fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ☠QUINTERO☠'s protests and gave Próspero Ruiz Tagle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Próspero Ruiz Tagle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Deportes Santa Cruz were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after ☠QUINTERO☠'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Inocencio Mosca took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bertrán Jarabran got free with Jorge Vicente Basay in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Gana in the 24th minute of play forced ☠QUINTERO☠'s goalkeeper Christian Abbott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Abbott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Mosca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ☠QUINTERO☠'s Christian Abbott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Rufo in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Fernán Nancupel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 played minutes ☠QUINTERO☠ got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Ángel Zúñiga. Jorge Vicente Basay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Villamil in the 37th minute of play. Patricio Saravia struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jorge Vicente Basay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ☠QUINTERO☠. The supporters of ☠QUINTERO☠ booed when Club Deportes Santa Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos José Angulo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ☠QUINTERO☠'s zone, Jaime Rufo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportes Santa Cruz's zone, Uriel Villamil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Vicente Basay came out of the goal and Uriel Villamil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anacleto Santis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Raimundo Backhouse fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportes Santa Cruz's protests and gave Raimundo Backhouse a yellow card for diving instead. Raimundo Backhouse hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. If Bertrán Jarabran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Vicente Basay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Villamil in the 74th minute of play. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Jorge Vicente Basay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Saravia in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Villamil in the 79th minute of play forced Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Jorge Vicente Basay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Gana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Abbott having to interfere. Vicente Searle's late challenge caught a Club Deportes Santa Cruz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Searle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Vicente Searle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Rufo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Abbott having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Raimundo Backhouse got a free kick in the 94th minute.
