Innocenzio Alcalde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darnell Watts in the 3rd minute. Mogel Gordo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brooklyn SC's Glen Goode played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikelats Albuerne in the 8th minute of play. After 9 minutes of play, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Mogel Gordo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Glen Goode was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Berrez came free, but Glen Goode reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xusto Seguin during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Xusto Seguin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goalkeeper Innocenzio Alcalde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Brooklyn SC's Randall Haynes got a free kick in the 20th minute. The supporters of ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Randall Haynes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Hermon Sueiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Glen Goode showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Berrez came free, but Glen Goode reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Aaron Gunn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Innocenzio Alcalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Innocenzio Alcalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Gunn, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Berrez in the 26th minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Glen Goode to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabino Briones charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabino Briones the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Randall Haynes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Innocenzio Alcalde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Pascal Dailey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Innocenzio Alcalde having to interfere.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mogel Gordo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Darnell Watts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Innocenzio Alcalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 minutes of play ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Xusto Seguin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 63rd match minute, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xusto Seguin to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s zone, Darnell Watts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Innocenzio Alcalde came out of the goal and Darnell Watts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermon Sueiro hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The Brooklyn SC fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Brooklyn SC's Aaron Gunn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Warren Childers's late challenge caught a ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Warren Childers helped the player get up and apologised. Domenic Ring hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brooklyn SC's zone, Jacob Berrez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glen Goode came out of the goal and Jacob Berrez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Darnell Watts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes, Brooklyn SC's Pascal Dailey shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Innocenzio Alcalde came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brooklyn SC reached it. After a rather tough play, Brooklyn SC's Aaron Gunn got a free kick in the 90th minute. 94 minutes into the game, Brooklyn SC's Aaron Gunn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Innocenzio Alcalde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brooklyn SC.
