Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Justo Sagrario kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Raymond Arrington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Sagrario in the 4th minute of play forced Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Ivan Lucero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Águilas Poblanas's Gustavo Chabier in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Rodriguez's goalie prevented a goal. In the 18th minute, Deportivo Rodriguez's Connor Marrero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Justo Sagrario left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Águilas Poblanas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cayetano Remir in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Lucero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th match minute, Deportivo Rodriguez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Connor Marrero to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes, Águilas Poblanas's Roberto Mateus shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivan Lucero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Águilas Poblanas reached it. Roosevelt Sullivan kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Ivan Lucero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Sagrario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Águilas Poblanas getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Justo Sagrario hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Águilas Poblanas defense, Goliath Mediano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matias Eder. The Águilas Poblanas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matias Eder should have stopped the shot. 37 minutes into the match, Deportivo Rodriguez's goal looked a bit too open when Justo Sagrario came free, but Ivan Lucero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39thth minute of the game Justo Sagrario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Rodriguez's Ivan Lucero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justo Sagrario in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Lucero saved Deportivo Rodriguez from getting behind.
Gustavo Chabier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Lucero having to interfere. After having played for 56 minutes, Cayetano Remir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Águilas Poblanas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cayetano Remir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Cayetano Remir came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Águilas Poblanas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cayetano Remir couldn't finish the play. After taking down the ball on Deportivo Rodriguez's corner Connor Marrero fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Matias Eder quite easily take care of the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Justo Sagrario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Lucero. Deportivo Rodriguez's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Justo Sagrario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Tiburcio Firman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Lucero having to interfere. Roosevelt Sullivan hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Águilas Poblanas's Roberto Mateus shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 70th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ivan Lucero but with some difficulty. Matias Eder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Connor Marrero in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Raymond Arrington was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Rodriguez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Águilas Poblanas the free kick. The supporters of Águilas Poblanas booed when Deportivo Rodriguez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raymond Arrington didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cayetano Remir received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ivan Lucero came out and tried to block the shot, but Cayetano Remir slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 77th minute. Cayetano Remir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Ubarna hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Cayetano Remir's late challenge caught a Deportivo Rodriguez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cayetano Remir helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the Águilas Poblanas defense, Connor Marrero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matias Eder. The Águilas Poblanas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matias Eder should have stopped the shot. If Eric Malone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Deportivo Rodriguez:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Águilas Poblanas:s goal. When the match had been going on for 97 minutes, Águilas Poblanas's Roberto Mateus got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ivan Lucero. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Águilas Poblanas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
