In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Gregory Fink, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonatan Librado made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Dudley Deal sent off a good shot on target. Steve Napier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Librado having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Cavaliers FC got a freekick which was hit by Julian Turi. Jonatan Librado stood somewhat misplaced when Curt Barrios came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 29 minute. Jonatan Librado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curt Barrios in the 40th minute of the match. Geoff Ackerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
