After some careless play in the DREAM TEAM WORLD defense, Fabio Arrillaga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Firman. The DREAM TEAM WORLD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Firman should have stopped the shot. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Damian Firman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cain Blue in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute of the match, Gaston Jakue got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ledesma Caicedo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. West Town SC's Ledesma Caicedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save West Town SC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Obi Blue in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damian Firman saved DREAM TEAM WORLD from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaston Jakue got free with Ledesma Caicedo in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the game, Neicer Pesquera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. West Town SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DREAM TEAM WORLD the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, West Town SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neicer Pesquera to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Fabio Arrillaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Firman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, DREAM TEAM WORLD's Lisandro Sugar got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Obi Blue was the one to do the kick off. Guillermo Raiz was slow to take the kick. During this time West Town SC's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Fernando Oceta heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Damian Firman made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Fabio Arrillaga sent off a good shot on target.
