In the 5th minute Arixo Aponte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Aleson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romano Montoya's late challenge caught a Real Marabino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ibon Toraño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Pernambucano in the 10th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Esteban Aleson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 14th minute, Rameriz Cando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 25 minutes, Bobby Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Marabino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bobby Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute of the match Real Marabino got a corner. Vanadio F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arixo Aponte ran over to the corner to take the kick. 32 minutes into the match, Vanadio F.C.'s goalkeeper Esteban Aleson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arixo Aponte. After some careless play in the Vanadio F.C. defense, Martin Porquera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteban Aleson. The Vanadio F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteban Aleson should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, Real Marabino's Esteban Aleson threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arixo Aponte, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 40 played minutes Real Marabino got a freekick which was hit by Mambru Fontoya. Montrell Sojo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Lorencio Erosa charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bobby Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ibon Toraño was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rameriz Cando showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 60 minute of play. Kinsen Aguinagalde ran back to his position shaking his head. Esteban Aleson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bobby Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Esteban Aleson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bautista Govantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteban Aleson came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Marabino's Bobby Abreu. But to his dismay, Bobby Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Real Marabino had won after a very even match.
