After some careless play in the Manuel Rodríguez 1186 defense, Urbano Jago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vladimiro Dueñas. The Manuel Rodríguez 1186 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimiro Dueñas should have stopped the shot. If Urbano Jago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Urbano Jago put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Vladimiro Dueñas. Jesus Gartxot was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Jeraldo Manns capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jeraldo Manns really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. With an all-out effort, Manuel Rodríguez 1186's Jesus Gartxot threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maurilio Catrileo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Urbano Jago took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vladimiro Dueñas. Vladimiro Dueñas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urbano Jago in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimiro Dueñas saved Manuel Rodríguez 1186 from getting behind. 37 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Pero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Vladimiro Dueñas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 40th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Ospetsu to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute of the match Zacarías Camus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jesus Gartxot skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurilio Catrileo in the 46th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Jesus Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

In the 51st match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Eutropio to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 54 minutes, Urbano Jago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbano Jago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute, Urbano Jago made a precise shot to the right of Vladimiro Dueñas. Manuel Rodríguez 1186's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. In the 64th minute Ezequiel Pero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Dueñas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Racing Club's Urbano Jago slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vladimiro Dueñas. That made the score 1-7 after 72 minutes of play. When Ezequiel Pero came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Pero couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, Urbano Jago dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vladimiro Dueñas, 1-8. Racing Club's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
