Jorge Philippi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chayo Aguila, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 9th minute, Spartans FC's Adriano Sierralta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Milio Cuero. Milio Cuero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Sierralta in the 15th minute of play forced Intimos de Reynoso's goalkeeper Milio Cuero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milio Cuero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alesandro Mac Millan in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Romelio Arend dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Milio Cuero, 2-0. A collision led to Intimos de Reynoso getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Nastasio Velastegui hit a great ball. Milio Cuero made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Alesandro Mac Millan sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Spartans FC's Vicente Waddington slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Milio Cuero. That made the score 3-0 after 36 minutes of play. In the 40th minute Alesandro Mac Millan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milio Cuero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amancio Morana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jorge Philippi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chayo Aguila hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, Intimos de Reynoso's goalkeeper Milio Cuero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romelio Arend. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

A collision led to Spartans FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Raúlo Roca hit a great ball. Vedillo Legarda struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Jorge Philippi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Intimos de Reynoso. When Chayo Aguila came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Intimos de Reynoso fans jumped to their feet.
