Jesus Gartxot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 28 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Jago. Abelardo Escerza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbano Jago in the 31st minute of the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Urbano Jago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbano Jago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Racing Club's Jesus Gartxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Pino in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Jago in the 46th minute of play forced Zorros del Desierto's goalkeeper Abelardo Escerza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrzej Debkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco-Antonio Figueroa made a kick off. Urbano Jago scored 2-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abelardo Escerza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. But to his dismay, Andrzej Debkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 76 minutes into the match, Marco-Antonio Figueroa notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Racing Club's Jesus Gartxot. Jesus Gartxot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Andrzej Debkowski got a free kick in the 80th minute. Rafael Basulto hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Jeronimo Eutropio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abelardo Escerza skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Urbano Jago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abelardo Escerza was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. When Ezequiel Pero fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing Club's protests and gave Ezequiel Pero a yellow card for diving instead.
