Li Han took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Nadal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Torbjörn Tingberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Vallentuna Kickers's goalkeeper Li Han had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Cañas. Li Han made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Armando Lamb in the 36th minute of play. If Diego Armando Lamb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Algarrobo's Everardo Ado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Tingberg in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Cañas got free with Li Han in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Diego Armando Lamb could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Li Han however easily saved by the left post. After 44 played minutes Vallentuna Kickers got a freekick which was hit by Richard Hedbom. The supporters of Algarrobo booed when Vallentuna Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Jonasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Armando Lamb to make the kick off. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Algarrobo's goalkeeper Everardo Ado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Vallentuna Kickers getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Joachim Lindgren hit a great ball. Algarrobo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
