The audience thought a goal was coming when Filippo Massa got free with Levente Dárdai in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Squadra de Pippe defense, Edwin 雷景 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fan Xi Hong. The Squadra de Pippe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fan Xi Hong should have stopped the shot.

Squadra de Pippe's Andrea Di Carlo was substituted for Filippo Massa. 58 minutes into the match, Squadra de Pippe's Andrea Di Carlo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Levente Dárdai narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Squadra de Pippe's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
