After taking down the ball on RockCity F.C.'s corner Philippe-Arnaud Matthijs fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cornelio Merexildo quite easily take care of the ball. RockCity F.C. were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Defensores del Albinegro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Trynda took the corner. The corner ended in Ramiro Larrea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Defensores del Albinegro's Cornelio Merexildo did a great save. With an all-out effort, RockCity F.C.'s Cornelio Merexildo threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mario Dewaele, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cornelio Merexildo made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Damián Diaz sent off a good shot on target. Cagua Seoane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Li Sha Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. RockCity F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Dewaele was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Merexildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the match, Damián Diaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cornelio Merexildo. Defensores del Albinegro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damián Diaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Defensores del Albinegro's Cornelio Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Dewaele in the 39th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as RockCity F.C.'s Fabian Reborio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cornelio Merexildo. That made the score 4-0 after 42 minutes of play. In the 45th minute Saturnino Diagur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cagua Seoane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, RockCity F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Aritza came free, but Cagua Seoane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Li Sha Yuan hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Cornelio Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Dewaele in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Dewaele made a kick off. Cagua Seoane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Li Sha Yuan in the 55th minute of play. Cornelio Merexildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Reborio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 minutes of play, RockCity F.C.'s Mario Dewaele made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Merexildo was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Dewaele in the 67th minute of play forced Defensores del Albinegro's goalkeeper Cornelio Merexildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornelio Merexildo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damián Diaz went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. RockCity F.C.'s Angelo Oliverio was substituted for Ramiro Larrea. Cornelio Merexildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Dewaele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Dewaele in the 76th minute of play forced Defensores del Albinegro's goalkeeper Cornelio Merexildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Defensores del Albinegro defense, Fabian Reborio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cornelio Merexildo. The Defensores del Albinegro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cornelio Merexildo should have stopped the shot. Mario Dewaele blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Merexildo having to make a save. RockCity F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
