The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when Cercadinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. But to his dismay, Garth Brough quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Cercadinho's Jaime Valladares was substituted for Walmir Pirani. With an all-out effort, Australian Youth Academy's Orest Komissarov threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Garth Brough, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 90 minutes into the game, Australian Youth Academy's Fletcher Baba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Orest Komissarov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 94 minutes into the match, Cercadinho's goalkeeper Orest Komissarov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fletcher Baba. The Cercadinho fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Australian Youth Academy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
