The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Roneixon Siqueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Agustin Rossi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 10th minute Grant Danes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roneixon Siqueira struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Agustin Rossi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espigão Steamrollers. In the 14th match minute, Ombu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyryl Grajewski to maneuver through the defense. Espigão Steamrollers's Roneixon Siqueira got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the game, Grant Danes lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Gonçalo de Medeiros. Agustín Martegani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Gonçalo de Medeiros made a huge save. In the 22nd minute, 柳远桑 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roneixon Siqueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agustin Rossi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 35th minute Valentin Lidon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Roneixon Siqueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espigão Steamrollers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The Ombu fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Ombu's Valentin Lidon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 47th match minute, Ombu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyryl Grajewski to maneuver through the defense. Ombu made a substitution. Frans Lundgren replaced Valentin Lidon. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Grant Danes to make the kick off. Ombu's Godfredo Mendez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Otto Sudaryanto in the 56 minute of the game. Jeremias Ugaitz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gonçalo de Medeiros. Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ombu's attentive Godfredo Mendez managed to snatch the ball when Otto Sudaryanto made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Espigão Steamrollers's Gonçalo de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frans Lundgren in the 60th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Roneixon Siqueira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Agustin Rossi. That made the score 2-4 in the 62 minute of play. Ombu made a substitution. Eusebio Cordarrel replaced Godfredo Mendez. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ombu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oswaldo Nascimento was slow to take the kick. During this time Espigão Steamrollers's players had a chance to rest. Gonçalo de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grant Danes, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Espigão Steamrollers's Roneixon Siqueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agustin Rossi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Espigão Steamrollers were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Ombu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oswaldo Nascimento took the corner. The corner ended in Roneixon Siqueira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ombu's Agustin Rossi did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roneixon Siqueira in the 74th minute of play forced Ombu's goalkeeper Agustin Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tarcisio Galvão got free with Agustin Rossi in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the match, Roneixon Siqueira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Agustin Rossi, 2-5. Espigão Steamrollers made a substitution. Luisinho Cearense replaced Roneixon Siqueira. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisinho Cearense in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agustin Rossi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 86 minutes into the match, Ombu's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Cearense came free, but Agustin Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustin Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Cearense in the 90th minute of play. Grant Danes kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ombu's Grant Danes got a free kick in the 97th minute.
