Bograngen's Sverker Kullander quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Curiphila Eagles's Kjell Sjöö played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dewa Gol in the 15th minute of play. Lúcio Sá might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cláudio-André Taffarel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lúcio Sá ran back to his position shaking his head. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erik Vihonský made a kick off. In the 78th minute, Bograngen's Dewa Gol ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kjell Sjöö. Kjell Sjöö yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Curiphila Eagles's Waldir de Amaral was substituted for Cristian Vides. Téo Vianna made in the 83rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Piearres Holgado however managed to control. In the 87th minute Dewa Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell Sjöö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's goalkeeper Kjell Sjöö had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dewa Gol. The crowd rose to their feet as Bograngen's Dewa Gol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kjell Sjöö. That made the score 0-3 after 92 minutes of play. Lúcio Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio-André Taffarel having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bograngen had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
