The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but León Carbonell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Duro in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erin Valencia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abuzer Gündoğan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Erin Valencia made a huge save. After 15 played minutes Choros FC got a freekick which was hit by Tor Badal. Choros FC's León Carbonell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicholas Nadeau in the 18th minute of play. Nicholas Nadeau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan María Melipil hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute Wallace Blum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but León Carbonell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hugo Duro came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Choros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Duro couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Victorino Gorbea could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Erin Valencia however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rene Pouliotte during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rene Pouliotte kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Victorino Gorbea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erin Valencia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When AFC Richmond's Nicholas Nadeau in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Choros FC's goalie prevented a goal. 42 minutes into the game, Hugo Duro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erin Valencia. Hugo Duro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Victorino Gorbeas short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Erin Valencia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chadwick Hayes to make the kick off. When David Haskins fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Richmond's protests and gave David Haskins a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes AFC Richmond got a freekick which was hit by David Haskins. León Carbonell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Pouliotte in the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Gorbea in the 60th minute of play forced AFC Richmond's goalkeeper Erin Valencia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 played minutes Choros FC got a freekick which was hit by Tor Badal. Erin Valencia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Gorbea, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Erin Valencia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugo Duro's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Duro in the 71st minute of play forced AFC Richmond's goalkeeper Erin Valencia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
