Godfredo Gaus short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Nardo Zalaca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.Comodoro Rivadavia's zone, Godfredo Gau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nardo Zalaca came out of the goal and Godfredo Gau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nardo Zalaca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfredo Gau in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Claude came free, but Denis Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.A.Comodoro Rivadavia's Nardo Zalaca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Ferrer in the 19th minute of play. Lionel-Andrés Messi might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nardo Zalaca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lionel-Andrés Messi ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the game, Godfredo Gau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0.
