Dwight Schrute fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanford Peters having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xande Sharkin in the 10th minute of play forced Kentucky Mustangs's goalkeeper Stanford Peters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Kentucky Mustangs's goal looked a bit too open when Dwight Schrute came free, but Stanford Peters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 played minutes Kentucky Mustangs got a freekick which was hit by Tony Freitas. In the 17th minute Lu Xing Song shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanford Peters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 minutes Kentucky Mustangs's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xande Sharkin who took care of the corner kick. C.'s zone, Gao Lang Feng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Umberto Cunha came out of the goal and Gao Lang Feng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute of the match, Gao Lang Feng tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Umberto Cunha saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Xande Sharkin struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Stanford Peters didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pégasus F. C.. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dwight Schrute stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Kentucky Mustangs's Tony Freitas got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kentucky Mustangs's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Xande Sharkin was slow to take the kick. During this time Pégasus F. C.'s players had a chance to rest. Xande Sharkin made a great header on Pégasus F. C.'s corner, it was just that Kentucky Mustangs's Stanford Peters managed to reach the ball for a save. After 58 minutes, Chupan Mangas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pégasus F. C. and the Kentucky Mustangs players grew even worse after the yellow card. A hard shot 81 in the game by Qiao Ang Le from a close distance when the talented Stanford Peters managed to make a qualified save. Kentucky Mustangs's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Qiao Ang Le got free with Stanford Peters in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute, Bebeto Medeiros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stanford Peters. The goal made the score 1-3. After 91 minutes, Gilberto Soeiro made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Kentucky Mustangs's Stanford Peters tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
