Jaap van der Schans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugon Byczewski's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafal Bator in the 8th minute of play forced Westenenk's goalkeeper Jaap van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaap van der Schans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucjan Hodyl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Diabolic Team booed when Westenenk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Japke Sturm didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Diabolic Team's Rafal Bator in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valio Tammisto got free with Lucas Hostens in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Diabolic Team's Lucas Hostens got control of the ball when Wieslaw Posadzki tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Diabolic Team getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Dominic Cappelsmans hit a great ball. Diabolic Team's Lucas Hostens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Diabolic Team from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, Westenenk's goal looked a bit too open when Rafal Bator came free, but Jaap van der Schans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Eddy van den Eede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Hostens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Hostens had great luck who in the 31stth minute grab hold of the ball when Eddy van den Eede from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valio Tammisto in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Hostens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Rafal Bator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaap van der Schans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucjan Hodyl in the 36th minute of play. Dominic Cappelsmans kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Wieslaw Posadzki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas Hostens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valio Tammisto in the 40th minute of the match. With 41 minutes on the clock, Dominic Cappelsmans commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Lucas Hostens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Rein Karremans in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valio Tammisto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
