Ludwig Apelqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quinto Ampudia in the 13th minute of play. After 15 played minutes AA GUARULHOS got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Porfirio. AA GUARULHOS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jacobo Porfirio in the 19th minute. AA GUARULHOS's Lance Cabezas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ludwig Apelqvist in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Carlos Alberto Tinoco made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Erland Arhenius sent off a good shot on target. Ludwig Apelqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinto Ampudia, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. AA GUARULHOS's Karin Benzema got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AA GUARULHOS's Luís Paulo Catarinense quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tibor Ligocký, made in the 72nd minute of the game. AA GUARULHOS's Carlos Alberto Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulryk Rutecki in the 74th minute of play. Karin Benzema might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ludwig Apelqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karin Benzema ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karin Benzema in the 79th minute of play forced FC FERNET BOYS's goalkeeper Ludwig Apelqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, FC FERNET BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Karin Benzema came free, but Ludwig Apelqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC FERNET BOYS made a substitution. Tomáš Michal replaced Lukáš Malinovský. If Erland Arhenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The AA GUARULHOS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AA GUARULHOS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
