Rhys Hughes scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Buffon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Genaro Aragones could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Joar Frisck made a huge save. 19 minutes into the match, FC NORDLAND's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Marques came free, but Joar Frisck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Rhys Hughes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. George Buffon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to São José City - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Waldemar Marques hit a great ball. After 37 minutes of play, FC NORDLAND's Andreas Hernaiz made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. George Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Genaro Aragones to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as FC NORDLAND's Andreas Hernaiz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of George Buffon. That made the score 0-4 after 54 minutes of play. George Buffon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelillo Di Maria in the 57th minute. São José City - FSCMZ's George Buffon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save São José City - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. 64 minutes into the game, Genaro Aragones cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of São José City - FSCMZ booed when FC NORDLAND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odd Ball didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC NORDLAND's goalkeeper Joar Frisck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Angelillo Di Maria could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which George Buffon however easily saved by the left post. The FC NORDLAND supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC NORDLAND would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
