The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 minutes, Victor Petersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Virtual Aces and the La Zabaleta players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of La Zabaleta booed when Virtual Aces was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Petersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sören Strandberg hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. La Zabaleta's Amancio Ekain shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 7th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Joseph Danielsson but with some difficulty. La Zabaleta's Arturo Guib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denver Light in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute George Best shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Guib saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Best in the 14th minute of play forced La Zabaleta's goalkeeper Arturo Guib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Guib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Best in the 20th minute of play. La Zabaleta's Arturo Guib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Petersson in the 22nd minute of play. After 27th play minutes George Best shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Arturo Guib and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 30thth minute of the game George Best who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Zabaleta's Arturo Guib was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Petersson in the 31st minute of play forced La Zabaleta's goalkeeper Arturo Guib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joseph Danielsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Cresconio, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Virtual Aces's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amancio Ekain was slow to take the kick. During this time La Zabaleta's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Lorenzo Arce almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Virtual Aces's Joseph Danielsson did a great save. Arturo Guib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Best, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when John Smed came free, but Arturo Guib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Sören Strandberg in the 46th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by La Zabaleta's Lorenzo Arce. In the 47th minute Denver Light shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Guib saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teodosio Lop stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Best in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arturo Guib saved La Zabaleta from getting behind. Denver Light received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arturo Guib came out and tried to block the shot, but Denver Light slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 63rd minute. Herminio Cresconio kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of Virtual Aces booed when La Zabaleta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herminio Cresconio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71stth minute of the game George Best who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Zabaleta's Arturo Guib was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joseph Danielsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodosio Lop went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute Denver Light shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Guib saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virtual Aces's Joseph Danielsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Lop in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of La Zabaleta booed when Virtual Aces was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 played minutes Virtual Aces got a freekick which was hit by George Best. Joseph Danielsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. La Zabaleta's Miguel Gilabert was substituted for Herminio Cresconio. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
