Sαηgrε Azuɭ's Luciano Ferran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Grigore in the 6th minute of play. Sαηgrε Azuɭ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jonas Ordono in the 10th minute. The corner led to Sαηgrε Azuɭ's Adrian Orzaize getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 12th minute Edson Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Ferran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sαηgrε Azuɭ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edson Ribeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Grêmio Prudente's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Grêmio Prudente's corner Edson Ribeiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luciano Ferran quite easily take care of the ball. Luciano Ferran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Ribeiro in the 16th minute of play. Sαηgrε Azuɭ were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Grêmio Prudente's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jonas Ordono took the corner. The corner led to Sαηgrε Azuɭ's Gösta Blomqvist getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 21 played minutes Sαηgrε Azuɭ got a freekick which was hit by Milton Casco. In the 22nd minute, Vicente Pedroso made a precise shot to the right of Luciano Ferran. Sαηgrε Azuɭ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Vicente Pedroso struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Luciano Ferran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio Prudente. In the 28th minute Sαηgrε Azuɭ were awarded a corner. Jonas Ordono went to the cornerflag to take it. Luciano Ferran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Grigore in the 31st minute of play. Adrian Orzaize in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Quinto Fonticoba, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 40th minute Vicente Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Ferran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quinto Fonticoba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrian Orzaize's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. 45 minutes into the match, Sαηgrε Azuɭ's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Pedroso came free, but Luciano Ferran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Grêmio Prudente getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Pedro Augusto Sena hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lionel-Andrés Messias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Grêmio Prudente's Quinto Fonticoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Orzaize in the 52nd minute of play. Adrian Orzaize's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quinto Fonticoba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Adrian Orzaize ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Quinto Fonticoba was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Pedro Augusto Sena hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Vicente Pedroso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Luciano Ferran made a huge save. With a little luck, Sαηgrε Azuɭ's Luciano Ferran got control of the ball when Edson Ribeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luciano Ferran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Grigore in the 76th minute of play. Quinto Fonticoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Orzaize in the 78th minute of play forced Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper Quinto Fonticoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Lionel-Andrés Messias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grêmio Prudente's Quinto Fonticoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Orzaize in the 86th minute of play. The Sαηgrε Azuɭ support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
