Ágætis Byrjun's Ditlev Delmont quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dércio Moreira, made in the 3rd minute of the game. Eriberto Bonadona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Heesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eriberto Bonadona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Heesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Nick Heesen might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eriberto Bonadona. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nick Heesen ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the match, Mira United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nick Heesen came free, but Eriberto Bonadona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ágætis Byrjun's attentive Gregorio Urtsin managed to snatch the ball when Dércio Moreira made a throw-in in the 17th minute of the game. Eriberto Bonadona stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nick Heesen's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Gregório Neiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Georg Hagberg having to make a save. Thanks to some nice moves Gregório Neiva could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Georg Hagberg however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Mira United FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Dércio Moreira hit a great ball. Gregorio Urtsin made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ditlev Delmont. 32 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eriberto Bonadona narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mira United FC's zone, Nick Heesen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Bonadona came out of the goal and Nick Heesen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Nick Heesen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ágætis Byrjun fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nick Heesen to strike the kick off in the second half. Georg Hagberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregório Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 51stth minute of the game Gregório Neiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregório Neiva in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Georg Hagberg saved Ágætis Byrjun from getting behind. Ágætis Byrjun's Ben Steyns was substituted for Vitaliy Vorobey. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mira United FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ladislao Cordarius was slow to take the kick. During this time Ágætis Byrjun's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ágætis Byrjun's Paúl Laime to fire away a dangerous shot which Eriberto Bonadona despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ben Steyns made in the 73rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Nick Heesen however managed to control. 76 minutes into the game, Vicente Mafra threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ágætis Byrjun's Ditlev Delmont quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Eriberto Bonadona stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nick Heesen's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. If Nick Heesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 81st minute Nick Heesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Bonadona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nick Heesen took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eriberto Bonadona. Eriberto Bonadona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregório Neiva in the 92nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nick Heesen got free with Eriberto Bonadona in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
