Nicodim Iacobeanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, Fc Otelul Galati's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Hansted came free, but Nicodim Iacobeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristen Krasmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gorla Goretzka in the 21st minute of play. When Bruno Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Hvam FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Guimarães couldn't finish the play. Fc Otelul Galati's Nicodim Iacobeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Otelul Galati from getting a goal against them. Ahmet Haşim Sevgen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Florian Penc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gorla Goretzka's late challenge caught a Hvam FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gorla Goretzka helped the player get up and apologised. Gorla Goretzka kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Fc Otelul Galati got a freekick which was hit by Gorla Goretzka. In the 37th minute Oliver Hansted shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Iacobeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicodim Iacobeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Guimarães in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Hansted in the 42nd minute of play forced Fc Otelul Galati's goalkeeper Nicodim Iacobeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 played minutes Fc Otelul Galati got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Chelbea. Ahmet Haşim Sevgen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Nicodim Iacobeanu made a huge save. Fc Otelul Galati's Nicodim Iacobeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Guimarães in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute Ahmet Haşim Sevgen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Iacobeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Haşim Sevgen in the 56th minute of play forced Fc Otelul Galati's goalkeeper Nicodim Iacobeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ion Ailincai fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Otelul Galati's protests and gave Ion Ailincai a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, Fc Otelul Galati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Ailincai to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Oliver Hansted notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Fc Otelul Galati's Nicodim Iacobeanu. Nicodim Iacobeanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lars Schuster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristen Krasmer having to interfere. If Lars Schuster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florian Penc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Kristen Krasmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fc Otelul Galati's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
