Teobaldo Libertad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Sydney Ramalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teobaldo Libertad was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Anselmo Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mauricio Gora charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauricio Gora the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Iguazú fútbol club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Aesir FC FSCMZ:s goal. Teobaldo Libertad came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Aesir FC FSCMZ's Carlos Eduardo Veiga. But to his dismay, Carlos Eduardo Veiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Teobaldo Libertad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Fantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 played minutes Aesir FC FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Ramalho. 42 minutes into the match, Modesto Bixintxo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luiz Eduardo Galvão, 1-3. In the 47th minute Anselmo Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobaldo Libertad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Sydney Ramalho made the kick off in the second half. Iguazú fútbol club's Teobaldo Libertad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Iguazú fútbol club from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Sydney Ramalho took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Teobaldo Libertad to make any attempt to save it. Sydney Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
