But to his dismay, Özgün Hatip quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rigoberto Turi kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Joel Min hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Özgün Hatip took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Higinio Porfiro. Higinio Porfiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachary Wielgopolski in the 18th minute of play forced LA MAQUINA F.C's goalkeeper Higinio Porfiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Aaron Sjöström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Galapagos Islands FC's Anthon Karlsson got control of the ball when Sérgio Berti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Galapagos Islands FC's Anthon Karlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Borja in the 25th minute of play. LA MAQUINA F.C's Higinio Porfiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigvart Biegel in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Alberto Pernambucano got free with Anthon Karlsson in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Özgün Hatip's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Higinio Porfiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. LA MAQUINA F.C's Higinio Porfiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Möller in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Niklas Möller ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Higinio Porfiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgün Hatip in the 45th minute of play forced LA MAQUINA F.C's goalkeeper Higinio Porfiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Galapagos Islands FC's Niklas Möller nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Higinio Porfiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4.

Galapagos Islands FC's Markus Åström was substituted for Niklas Möller. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rigoberto Turi to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Markus Åström took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Higinio Porfiro to make any attempt to save it. Isidoro Playo charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidoro Playo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 played minutes LA MAQUINA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Playo. The Galapagos Islands FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomas Sundling got free with Higinio Porfiro in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Özgün Hatip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Higinio Porfiro was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. After 92 minutes, Valentin Makovskiy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LA MAQUINA F.C and the Galapagos Islands FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
