SPALLETTE RETURNS's Marco Silvestri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save SPALLETTE RETURNS from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hette Visscher got free with Marco Silvestri in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Silvestri came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by a k l p j f c a's Tomasz Las Casas. But to his dismay, Tomasz Las Casas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With an all-out effort, a k l p j f c a's Marco Silvestri threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Brad Foley, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cosimo Laudadio might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Mergildo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cosimo Laudadio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute Cosimo Laudadio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Mergildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateo Mergildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosimo Laudadio in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, SPALLETTE RETURNS's Marco Silvestri got control of the ball when Hette Visscher tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by a k l p j f c a's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Davide Guerrini was slow to take the kick. During this time SPALLETTE RETURNS's players had a chance to rest. In the 35th match minute, SPALLETTE RETURNS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amedeo Palmieri to maneuver through the defense. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 40 minutes into the match, a k l p j f c a's goal looked a bit too open when Cosimo Laudadio came free, but Mateo Mergildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Cosimo Laudadio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Mergildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Cosimo Laudadio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mateo Mergildo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brad Foley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Silvestri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brad Foley, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. SPALLETTE RETURNS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Davide Guerrini in the 86th minute. Lance Baxter tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Mateo Mergildo. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-2 in the 87th minute. Cosimo Laudadio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Mergildo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. SPALLETTE RETURNS's Cosimo Laudadio got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
