In the 8th minute of the match CWKS KĘDZIERZYN got a corner. Jastreb's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tymoteusz Wierzcholek ran over to the corner to take the kick. CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's Tymoteusz Wierzcholek was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Navarro Montoya in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Börje Forsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's Marco van Basten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Navarro Montoya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Niculae Romanescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Forsberg in the 13th minute of the match. Navarro Montoya stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isak Lundqvist's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Niculae Romanescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börje Forsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Radomir Anszczak came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the CWKS KĘDZIERZYN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radomir Anszczak couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, Isak Lundqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Börje Forsberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niculae Romanescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Vanja Dimitrijević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niculae Romanescu having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's goal looked a bit too open when Miran Tudor came free, but Niculae Romanescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Navarro Montoya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isak Lundqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isak Lundqvist in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Navarro Montoya saved Jastreb from getting behind. Isak Lundqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isak Lundqvist to make the kick off. Jastreb's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rogelio Etxepare in the 58th minute. 66 minutes into the match, CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Forsberg came free, but Niculae Romanescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vanja Dimitrijević in the 68th minute of play forced CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's goalkeeper Niculae Romanescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marco Materazzi fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jastreb's protests and gave Marco Materazzi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of CWKS KĘDZIERZYN booed when Jastreb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Materazzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. CWKS KĘDZIERZYN made a substitution. Lucas Mancheño replaced Velimir Bostandzhiev. In the 75th match minute, Jastreb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Materazzi to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Isak Lundqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Navarro Montoya was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Vanja Dimitrijević could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Niculae Romanescu made a huge save. 85 minutes into the match, Marco van Basten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Navarro Montoya. Jastreb's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco van Basten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 87th minute, Michaël Guillot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Navarro Montoya was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The Jastreb fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Jastreb's Börje Forsberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Isak Lundqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Navarro Montoya having to interfere.
