A throw-in in the 8th minute of the game was made by Beto de Medeiros with Arkın Öğüç as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 20 minutes into the match, Kim Bolas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Carlos Andrade. Futuros FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kim Bolas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 27th minute, Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Carlos Andrade. João Carlos Andrade yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 34 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Krakaca Neto came free, but Mike Axisa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Futuros FC's goalie prevented a goal. Kim Bolas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kim Bolas to strike the kick off in the second half. Kim Bolas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Futuros FC's João Carlos Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Bolas in the 53rd minute of play. Kim Bolas might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Carlos Andrade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kim Bolas ran back to his position shaking his head. 56 minutes into the match, Futuros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Bolas came free, but João Carlos Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Carlos Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Bolas, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Sliema Dragons FC were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Futuros FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leszek Cupial took the corner. Gábor Illés's late challenge caught a Futuros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gábor Illés helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sliema Dragons FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gábor Illés hit a great ball. Mike Axisa made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Arkın Öğüç sent off a good shot on target. Mike Axisa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mai Xun Kang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kim Bolas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Carlos Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After 74 played minutes Futuros FC got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Ferdinand. Sliema Dragons FC made a substitution. Giovanni Demicoli replaced Gábor Illés. Futuros FC's Beto Smith was substituted for Vicente Dantas. Sliema Dragons FC's Dejan Cassar was substituted for Kim Bolas. In the 75th match minute, Futuros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Ferdinand to maneuver through the defense. Futuros FC's João Carlos Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dejan Cassar in the 79th minute of play. João Carlos Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leszek Cupial in the 83rd minute of the match. Mike Axisa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Smith, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. A throw-in in the 89th minute of the game was made by Beto de Medeiros with Marcos Fernandes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Hendrik-Jan Van Nel made in the 91st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marcos Fernandes however managed to control. In the 94th minute, Giovanni Demicoli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute Dejan Cassar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sliema Dragons FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
