An unexpectedly hard shot by Toro Martínez in the 12th minute of play forced 1930 Bafraspor's goalkeeper Çakır Alyakut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The 1930 Bafraspor fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when 1930 Bafraspor's Henk Veerman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. When Rıdvan Balıkçı came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the 1930 Bafraspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rıdvan Balıkçı couldn't finish the play. Fernando Selatse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henk Veerman in the 42nd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toro Martínez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Despidida AFC's Emanuel Lucila managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Raik Renan in the 51 minute of the game. Despidida AFC's Czeslaw Kopacz was substituted for Toro Martínez. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Pastor Tino replaced Arturo Arano. 67 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Veerman came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, 1930 Bafraspor's Henk Veerman got a free kick in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, 1930 Bafraspor's goalkeeper Çakır Alyakut had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Czeslaw Kopacz. With an all-out effort, Despidida AFC's Çakır Alyakut threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Justo Leobardo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Justo Leobardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Çakır Alyakut made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justo Leobardo in the 85th minute. Erdal Tamkoç might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Selatse. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erdal Tamkoç ran back to his position shaking his head. 90 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Erdal Tamkoç came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Czeslaw Kopacz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Çakır Alyakut was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Pastor Tino made a great header on Despidida AFC's corner, it was just that 1930 Bafraspor's Çakır Alyakut managed to reach the ball for a save. Despidida AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
