Henk Veerman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Marcos Ranolfo made a huge save. 1930 Bafraspor's Çakır Alyakut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Dei in the 18th minute of play. Marcos Ranolfo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henk Veerman's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 22nd minute Henk Veerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Çakır Alyakut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Dei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximo Dei ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Kert Roolaid got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Çakır Alyakut quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Henk Veerman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Marcos Ranolfo made a huge save. Kraig Fred might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Çakır Alyakut. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kraig Fred ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute Kraig Fred shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Çakır Alyakut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rıdvan Balıkçı in the 37th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henk Veerman was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Rıdvan Balıkçı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rıdvan Balıkçı took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Ranolfo. Marcos Ranolfo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Çakır Alyakut made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Concetto Trasatti sent off a good shot on target. Orlando Beltza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Çakır Alyakut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Beltza's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Çakır Alyakut firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henk Veerman in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Ranolfo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 95 minutes into the game, Orlando Beltza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Çakır Alyakut was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
