When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Frank Galli put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Yuri Loureiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominik Piglowski in the 23rd minute of play forced Trento Calcio 1921's goalkeeper Mutlu Baykam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Trento Calcio 1921's Mutlu Baykam got control of the ball when Nicolas Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Trento Calcio 1921's Mutlu Baykam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Trento Calcio 1921 from getting a goal against them. Nicolas Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Mutlu Baykam made a huge save. Fortunato Gatti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Yuri Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Trento Calcio 1921 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicolas Romero made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Atlético Minuano got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Turi. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Minuano's zone, Fortunato Gatti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Loureiro came out of the goal and Fortunato Gatti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 54 played minutes Atlético Minuano got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Galvão. Yuri Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Galli in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute of the match Trento Calcio 1921 got a corner. Atlético Minuano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fortunato Gatti ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Fortunato Gatti got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yuri Loureiro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the Trento Calcio 1921 defense, Hílton Coelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mutlu Baykam. The Trento Calcio 1921 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mutlu Baykam should have stopped the shot. 73 minutes into the game, Evaristo Aparecido was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
