Pete Luna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanildo Luis in the 20th minute of the match. Pete Luna made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Henrique Camargo sent off a good shot on target. Henrique Camargo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pete Luna came out and tried to block the shot, but Henrique Camargo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the game, Drew Zaelani threw the ball into play from the sideline. Joga Hem FC's Mehmet Ersman quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Geovanildo Luis struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Pete Luna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joinville City - FSCMZ. 33 minutes into the match, Urban Wennerquist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haji Sarap. Joinville City - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Urban Wennerquist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After having played for 45 minutes, Geovanildo Luis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville City - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovanildo Luis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Urban Wennerquist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evert Lenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Haji Sarap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
