After having played for 31 minutes, Bruno Marceau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. France's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Marceau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matthias Brandin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Marceau's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Alexandrie CF's zone, Abraham Beauval stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthias Brandin came out of the goal and Abraham Beauval tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bruno Marceau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abraham Beauval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthias Brandin having to interfere. Matthias Brandin came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by France's Bruno Marceau. But to his dismay, Bruno Marceau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardo Cossa made a kick off. The supporters of France booed when Alexandrie CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 53 minutes, Éluard Plantade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. France's supporters crossed their fingers, but Éluard Plantade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by John-Paul Locatelli in the 59th minute of play forced Alexandrie CF's goalkeeper Matthias Brandin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matthias Brandin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehdi Brasselet in the 76th minute of play forced Alexandrie CF's goalkeeper Matthias Brandin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Alexandrie CF's goal looked a bit too open when Kylian Charreton came free, but Matthias Brandin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Éluard Plantade got free with Matthias Brandin in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, France's Kylian Charreton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. France played a much better game than Alexandrie CF and deserved their victory. The Alexandrie CF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
