In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Dan Wennerqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Octavian Jähnigen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrián Espadas in the 8th minute of play. Octavian Jähnigen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrián Espadas in the 9th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrián Espadas in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavian Jähnigen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Octavian Jähnigen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernan Lano's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Octavian Jähnigen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Tartalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Predador Brasiliense MZBR's Lam Baril ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dan Wennerqvist. Dan Wennerqvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 30th minute Adrián Espadas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Jähnigen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Predador Brasiliense MZBR's Lam Baril in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Soroca F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. António Sobral was the one to do the kick off.
