In the 4th minute, Rowland Deans made a precise shot to the right of Mathias Ceresso. Soccer Novice's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gilson Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blathmac Savic. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilson Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the match, André Luiz Salgado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blathmac Savic. Rathose's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Luiz Salgado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 21 minutes into the game, Carlos Mota was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soccer Novice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rathose the free kick. After a rather tough play, Soccer Novice's Carlos Mota got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Mathias Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rowland Deans in the 24th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Luiz Salgado got free with Blathmac Savic in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blathmac Savic made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when André Luiz Salgado sent off a good shot on target. Gilson Brito was extremely unlucky when he, in the 33rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 35th minute, Rowland Deans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 played minutes Soccer Novice got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Mota. André Luiz Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Blathmac Savic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Rathose was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keeghan McJohnny to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Rathose's zone, Gilson Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blathmac Savic came out of the goal and Gilson Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilson Brito to make the kick off. Mathias Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casey Hunt in the 50th minute of the match. Casey Hunt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathias Ceresso having to make a save. After some careless play in the Rathose defense, André Luiz Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blathmac Savic. The Rathose fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blathmac Savic should have stopped the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Soccer Novice's goalkeeper Mathias Ceresso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rowland Deans. Mathias Ceresso came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Rathose's Rowland Deans. But to his dismay, Rowland Deans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 83 minutes into the game, Marcelo Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soccer Novice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rathose the free kick. Marcelo Ferreira hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Rathose's Reginald Lavine suffered a concussion after 87 minutes and had to leave the field. Carlos Fernando Marquez hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Rathose's Davie McAaron broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rowland Deans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Mathias Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rathose's Edward Bayes got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute Benjamim de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathmac Savic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
