The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Soběslav's Tomáš Puč proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Soběslav from getting a goal against them. Corneliu Vulpăşin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Hejkal in the 9th minute of the match. Corneliu Vulpăşin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Matos in the 16th minute of play. Tomáš Puč made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Iustinian Petre sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Tomáš Gajdoš managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soběslav's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomáš Gajdoš was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corneliu Vulpăşin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute, Edgar Stănoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 minutes, Iustinian Petre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unicorns ™ and the Soběslav players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Hejkal in the 40th minute of play forced Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Leucuța charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Leucuța the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Unicorns ™ getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Corneliu Vulpăşin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Jan Hejkal made a precise shot to the right of Corneliu Vulpăşin. Unicorns ™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After the first half Soběslav were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Soběslav's Gláuber Matos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Corneliu Vulpăşin. That made the score 0-4 after 53 minutes of play. 59 minutes into the match, Gláuber Matos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Corneliu Vulpăşin, 0-5. Gláuber Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Denis Negruț hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Luděk Lupač could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Corneliu Vulpăşin however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Hejkal got free with Corneliu Vulpăşin in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Unicorns ™'s zone, Jan Hejkal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneliu Vulpăşin came out of the goal and Jan Hejkal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan Hejkal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Corneliu Vulpăşin made a huge save. Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oto Jágr in the 80th minute of play. If Gláuber Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corneliu Vulpăşin was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Oto Jágr capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Oto Jágr really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Soběslav's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
