Spectators: 538 (Terracing: 404, Seating: 124, VIP seats: 10) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dudu Georgescu got the match started through his kick off. Aurelian Zogreanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Basarab Pârcălab when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Basarab Pârcălab managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Ninjas in Pyjamas's Aurelian Zogreanu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aurelian Zogreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Basarab Pârcălab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Aurelian Zogreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Pârcălab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alin Tătăruşanu kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of Carpathians booed when Ninjas in Pyjamas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Griguță didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliodor Dan charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliodor Dan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eliodor Dan hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Aron Neculce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Georgescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Basarab Pârcălab came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Ninjas in Pyjamas's Aurelian Zogreanu. But to his dismay, Aurelian Zogreanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Cristi Goiceanu made in the 35th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Damian Pantelimon. Dudu Georgescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Aron Neculce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aron Neculce came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Carpathians's Dudu Georgescu. But to his dismay, Dudu Georgescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 46 played minutes Carpathians got a freekick which was hit by Horea Manciulescu. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ştefan Secară to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelian Zogreanu in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basarab Pârcălab prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ninjas in Pyjamas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Florin Griguță in the 53rd minute. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Ionel Rizescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Basarab Pârcălab in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some careless play in the Ninjas in Pyjamas defense, Damian Pantelimon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aron Neculce. The Ninjas in Pyjamas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aron Neculce should have stopped the shot. 69 minutes into the game, one of Carpathians:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Carpathians's Vlad Huidu was substituted for Șerban Chițes. With his leg Aron Neculce managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Carpathians's Dudu Georgescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. During the 83rd minute of the match Eliodor Dan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eliodor Dan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Eliodor Dan kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The supporters of Carpathians booed when Ninjas in Pyjamas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Surdilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Carpathians's Damian Pantelimon tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ştefan Secară sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
