Mathys Chassot was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 8 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 13th minute of play forced Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julien Chassot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Salgado having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 54th minute of play forced Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Adrien Tanneau made a huge save. With his leg Adrien Tanneau managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when VB-Team's Joaquim de Barros fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Shao Kun Yuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Adrien Tanneau made a huge save. In the 85th minute VB-Team were awarded a corner. Luís Braga went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Enzo Pellecchia managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Adrien Tanneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervásio Severiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute of the match VB-Team got a corner. Valette Stars's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Braga ran over to the corner to take the kick. 91 minutes into the game, Valette Stars's Julien Chassot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armindo Salgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. If Luís Caeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched VB-Team eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
