The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, GrassNuts FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Ibañez came free, but Esbjörn Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tanek Walczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tanek Walczyk got free with Esbjörn Tunander in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, GrassNuts FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Ponc came free, but Esbjörn Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Ibañez took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esbjörn Tunander. Esbjörn Tunander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Esbjörn Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Ibañez, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Vitaliy van der Aa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Firmin Négrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ANAHA FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jacob Rieu hit a great ball. In the 13th minute of the match Jouni Markkula sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Firmin Négrel skillfully saved the ball. Esbjörn Tunander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc-Olivier Coq, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Ibañez in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esbjörn Tunander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Firmin Négrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Philip Åkerman took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Firmin Négrel to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched GrassNuts FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
