Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) U21 Paraguay's Evarado Ibias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Palencia in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Paraguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcelo Gallardo was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Honduras's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Marcelo Gallardo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Paraguay's Evarado Ibias did a great save. In the 10th match minute, U21 Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Gonzalez to maneuver through the defense. Will Galdamez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gorbea Sasiain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Padilla scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evarado Ibias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Will Galdamez was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Oskitz Cadenas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Oskitz Cadenas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The audience was convinced that Oskitz Cadenas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Will Galdamez was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Oskitz Cadenas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Will Galdamez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Honduras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gorbea Sasiain was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Paraguay's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on U21 Paraguay's corner Oskitz Cadenas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Will Galdamez quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Honduras's zone, Gorbea Sasiain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Will Galdamez came out of the goal and Gorbea Sasiain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Marcelo Gallardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oskitz Cadenas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Will Galdamez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Rafael Palencia made the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes, Mauricio Cabrera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Honduras and the U21 Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Will Galdamez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oskitz Cadenas in the 57th minute of play. Will Galdamez came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Paraguay's Oskitz Cadenas. But to his dismay, Oskitz Cadenas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. A collision led to U21 Paraguay getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Gorbea Sasiain hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Honduras's zone, Xeromo Atauri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Will Galdamez came out of the goal and Xeromo Atauri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Oskitz Cadenas sped through U21 Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Will Galdamez. After a rather tough play, U21 Honduras's Mauro Rey got a free kick in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the match, U21 Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Oskitz Cadenas came free, but Will Galdamez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to U21 Honduras getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Rafael Palencia hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Oskitz Cadenas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Will Galdamez was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. In the 87th minute, Mauro Rey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Will Galdamez came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Paraguay's Oskitz Cadenas. But to his dismay, Oskitz Cadenas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. Gorbea Sasiain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of U21 Paraguay booed when U21 Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Palencia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oskitz Cadenas in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Will Galdamez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. U21 Paraguay's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
