In the 13th minute, Doriva Saldanha made a precise shot to the right of Napoleon Dziedelonis. Zuberbühler FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Napoleon Dziedelonis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zoil Pequeño in the 17th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Zuberbühler FC's Saul Baumer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jose Boldu. That made the score 1-1 after 19 minutes of play. 22 minutes into the match, Zuberbühler FC's goal looked a bit too open when Doriva Saldanha came free, but Napoleon Dziedelonis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugenio Gabon made in the 25th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Saul Baumer immediately put the ball in play. In the 32nd minute Zuberbühler FC were awarded a corner. Saul Baumer went to the cornerflag to take it. Venancio Calisto was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Zoil Pequeño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Deportivo ScrugenFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Saul Baumer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Napoleon Dziedelonis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Saldanha in the 44th minute of play. Doriva Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zoil Pequeño stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Deportivo ScrugenFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
