A hard shot 14 in the game by Maksim Lobanovskiy from a close distance when the talented Abdul Majid Awat managed to make a qualified save. Atletic Club Araucaria's players were relieved. If Gayle Leto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdul Majid Awat made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Eustacio Gilabert sent off a good shot on target. Gayle Leto's late challenge caught a FC GAZprom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergey Dorofeev hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Atletic Club Araucaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cirilo Raymon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sofoklis Siamantouras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdul Majid Awat having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noah Gessen in the 90th minute of play forced Atletic Club Araucaria's goalkeeper Abdul Majid Awat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdul Majid Awat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maksim Lobanovskiy in the 93rd minute of the match. Cirilo Raymon came free with the goalkeeper in the 96th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Adélio Camargo could save by the left post. 97 minutes into the match, Atletic Club Araucaria's goal looked a bit too open when Maksim Lobanovskiy came free, but Abdul Majid Awat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Atletic Club Araucaria players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
